21 Cute Galentine’s Day Outfit Ideas for Brunch & Nights Out
Whether you’re downing mimosas with friends at brunch or dancing the night away after Galentine’s Day dinner, finding the right outfit for the occasion can be tricky. You know the struggle — you want your look to be special but not too much work.
Clothing sales spike 35% every February thanks to Valentine’s Day and Galentine’s Day celebrations. Whether you’re gifting someone else or treating yourself to a new outfit, we’ve compiled a collection of rompers, skirts, dresses, and tops that hit that sweet spot between cute and effortless.
White Square-Neck Romper with Pocket Details

Looking for something cute, but comfortable to wear for Galentines brunch? We found the romper that checks all of your boxes. Not only is it adorable and comfy but it also has pockets. Yeah, pockets! You can store your phone in there while you gossip with your girlfriends or keep a lipstick in them to freshen up before those Instagram pics.
We love how easy it is to dress this white romper up or down. Throw on a colorful necklace to dress it up or pair it with a cardigan if the air conditioning is too much inside. Just be sure to pick one that’s made of cotton or a cotton blend so it doesn’t wrinkle easily. Trust us, you’ll be sitting down for probably 3 hours catching up with your girls and you don’t want to look like a crumpled up piece of cloth in your photos.
Grey Strapless Corset Mini Dress paired with Bold Burgundy Tights

If you’re trying to look cool this Galentine’s day then look no further. This grey strapless corset mini dress paired with burgundy tights is honestly the epitome of cool. We love how the tights not only add some warmth but also look so chic with the grey.
This is a great outfit to wear to dinner and then hit up some bars with your friends after. It’s fancy enough to not look like you came straight from home but not too over the top. The textured bag pairs well and doesn’t clash with the burgundy.
Pro Tip: If you’re worried about the corset being too cold or too uncomfortable. Wear a thin long sleeve shirt underneath! You’ll be able to move freely and stay warm. We also suggest picking a dress that either stretches or has backlaces that tie — you’ll appreciate this later if you plan on sitting down for dinner and those stiff corsets are not kind to your hips.
A small hack we love is adding the burgundy tights. An unexpected pop of color like this really makes the outfit less boring than if you just wore black tights. Not to mention they’ll keep your legs warm when stepping outside in February.
White Heart-Print Oversized Knit Sweater with a Black Mini Skirt and Sheer Tights

Looking for something cute for Valentine’s Day without looking like you stuck a heart down your pants? Match this adorable heart sweater with a mini skirt and some sheer tights. It’s casually cute and still looks so put together.
The heart pattern allows you to celebrate the holiday but won’t make you feel like your wearing a billboard. Adding the mini skirt helped tone down the cuteness as well. We think this looks great for getting dinner or drinks with your friends.
Go with black tights or ones with a small print. They’ll give your legs the illusion of being longer and will also keep you warm in February. Trust me, you want all of the layers you can get when stepping outside.
Still not warm enough? Wear a fitted turtleneck under the sweater! You’ll be able to stay warm and it will still look stunning.
Monochromatic Hot Pink Silk Button-Down Shirt and Matching Mini Skirt

Hot pink has been major buzz for this year and we are so obsessed. You’re gonna look stunning rocking a mini skirt and matching strappy heels. This whole look is great for running around to brunch with your girls or drinks later that evening. Not to mention how good you’ll look in pictures.
If you’re cold maybe throw on a hot pink blazer or cardigan. Just make sure they’re the same pink color as your outfit for a matching look.
If wearing head-to-toe pink isn’t for you yet, that’s okay! Start out with some pink hair ties or sneakers. Once you get more comfortable you can start incorporating more pink into your wardrobe. A lot of stores such as Target and H&M have cute pink clothing that aren’t expensive. You could even thrift some pieces to match and play around with different shades of pink.
With this look, we want you to feel confident and fearless when wearing color. Don’t over think it too much, if you feel good thats all that matters!
Pink Heart Pattern Sweater with Lace Trim, Heart-Patch Denim Jeans

This pink heart sweater paired with heart patch denim jeans is perfect for a lowkey Galentine’s brunch. You’re gonna love how cute yet comfy this look is when you’re sitting down with your friends for 3 hours drinking mimosas. It also looks adorable with a solid white collared shirt underneath if it gets too cold. The jeans are cute and can transition to whatever else you have planned that weekend after brunch.
Pro Tip: Make sure the heart patches aren’t too big of a deal. You don’t want them taking over your whole leg. Maybe one to two on each thigh looks cute but too many and it starts looking silly.
Sheer Polka Dot Long Sleeve Top with a Button Front Denim Flare Skirt

Everyone loves a good ‘90s vibe. Not only are they super trendy right now but they’re also timeless. A sheer polka dot top gives you that sexy, flirtatious look while still being sleek and professional. Pairing it with a denim mini skirt allows you to show off your legs in a casual way. We think this whole look is perfect for a brunch with cool décor or afternoon drinks when you want to look cute but not over dressed.
If your sheer top is SUPER see through then we suggest wearing a cami underneath. Try and find one that matches with the color of your top instead of plain white. This way it looks like you put more thought into the outfit.
For accessories, try going with more vintage-inspired pieces. We love chunky hoop earrings and a small baguette bag. You don’t have to spend your money at those trendy stores that are overpriced. Hit up your local thrift store for pieces like these instead! It’s more fun thrifting because you never know what you’ll find.
White Halter-Style Mini Dress with Red Heart Grid Pattern

Need an easy shirt to spice up your Valentine’s Day outfit? Throw on this red heart patterned blouse with your favorite pants or jeans. We love incorporating subtler patterns into our everyday wardrobe.
If you want to dress this up you could wear it under a black blazer for work or a night out. You can really dress this blouse down or up depending on the occasion.
Pair it with dark wash jeans for an everyday work look or some bootcut jeans for a chill night out. If your jeans have rips or anything like that, we suggest toning it down with this top. Simple shoes like ballet flats or loafers looks great and will complement your outfit.
Pearl-Embellished Pink Heart Sweater with a Pleated Pink Mini Skirt

Picture yourself in a super soft oversized sweater with a pleated mini skirt that spins when you walk. Its the perfect mix of comfy and adorable for hanging out with your friends on Galentine’s Day. This outfit works great weather your going to brunch or taking tons of pictures together, and you’ll stay comfortable the whole time.
Throw on some heart-shaped earrings or a fun hair clip that’ll make everyone laugh. Just make sure you wear practical shoes tho—cute ballet flats or chunky boots are good choices if your gonna be walking around alot. The best part? You probly already have most of these things in your closet already. So you can look festive without spending a bunch of money on something completely new.
Red Puff-Sleeve Turtleneck Sweater with a Black and White Polka Dot Tiered Skirt

Red Sweater + Polka Dot Skirt = you’re basically good to go for brunch with the girls. We love this look if you’ll be going to multiple places that day because it’s February and you’ll probably need some tights and boots to keep you warm outside. Pro tip: If you want to make this look more casual you can grab an oversized sweater and tuck in only half of the shirt into the skirt.
It still looks very put together without trying too hard and is so much easier to lounge around with your friends. A lot of stores are going to have their winter clothes on sale right now because they’re trying to transition into spring clothes. You could probably find something similar and won’t have to spend much.
Pink Fuzzy Heart Sweater with a Grey Tulle Mini Skirt and Chic White Slouchy Heeled Boots

Fuzzy Pink Heart Sweater + Grey Tulle Skirt. It’s festive but not over the top, you know?
We love this look because its so you can dress it down for brunch with your friends or dress it up for a casual wine night. You’ll look cute and festive without feeling like your wearing a holiday sweater.
The white boots really helps tone down the whole look and makes it more effortless. We love this look because you don’t feel like your trying too hard.
If you’re cold you can always slip on some fleece lined tights under the skirt. You’ll stay warm and it won’t mess up how the skirt flows or anything.
BEST part? You can wear all these items with other pieces even when Valentine’s Day is over. There you won’t just be buying an entire outfit you only wear one day.
Black Wrap-Style Ribbed Midi Dress with a Side Slit

This beautiful piece is going to be your best friend when your in a rush but still want to look cute for Galentine’s day. The wrap style is flattering on almost any body type and you’ll be able to breath when your mindlessly eating appetizers and drinking cocktails.
Pair it with some cute heeled boots that won’t kill your feet from being on them all night. And add a small purse that can fit your phone, lipstick, and wallet.
If you plan on going from dinner to someplace else later you can bring a cropped jacket with you and stuff it in someone’s purse. Make sure to get a midi dress that has some stretch. You’ll be thankful later when you want to eat that extra piece of chocolate fondue.
Oversized Lilac Cable-Knit Sweater with a Silver Sequined Ruffle Mini Skirt

This cute knit sweater is absolutely perfect for brunch with your girlfriends. It’s comfortable, yet you still look so adorable.
We love pairing the soft pastel with a silver sparkly mini skirt. You get this fun out-there look but still dressed up. Not too much. It’s perfect for celebrating with your girlfriends.
If you’re always cold when your out like us, wear some sheer black tights under the skirt. You’ll stay warm and still look cute for the holiday. The best thing about this whole look is you can change it up later. Say you all wanted to grab coffee after hanging out, you could just switch the mini skirt for jeans and you’re good to go for the rest of your day.
It’s a great look for doing something fancy or keeping it casual. You also won’t feel like your over-doing yourself either. That’s the beauty of this whole outfit.
Pink Metallic Long-Sleeve Bodycon Dress with Red Tights and a Pearl Heart-Shaped Handbag

Ready to be the center of attention this Galentine’s Day? Then this hot pink dress paired with red tights is EXACTLY what you need. It’s so bold and perfect for taking those Instagram pictures with your girlfriends.
We imagine you wearing this when your feeling extra cute and confident or just wanting to be that girl at brunch. The pearl heart purse is also so adorable and goes perfectly with the whole look. It gives you fun detail without making the whole outfit look like Valentines day pooped all over you.
If pink and red together is too much for you then try a darker shade of pink. Maybe a maroon dress would be better and blend in with your red tights. Trust us, you don’t want to look crazy.
Don’t forget comfortable shoes! You’ll be walking around and/or standing for the majority of the night while making those holiday toasts and taking millions of pictures. No one wants to of wine night looks comfortable so you can dance the night away after dinner. Nobody wants sore feet on their Valentine’s!
Red Off-the-Shoulder Long-Sleeve Top with Black Flare Trousers and Red Bow Heels

I love wearing a bright red top with black pants because its flashy but not like you’re going clubbing or anything. Its perfect for Galentines day because you’ll look really cute but still be comfy enough to enjoy your morning with your girls.
Red is such a statement color that you can’t help but feel confident wearing it. Pairing it with black allows you to focus on the red top and it makes your legs look amazing because the flare makes them look super long. Not to mention, black goes with everything in your closet.
If you plan on wearing a statement necklace, opt for a scoop neck or V-neck so you have room to actually wear it. Or maybe opt for a ribbed knit material that has some texture.
BEST PART: You can dress this outfit up or down! Wear it to brunch then straight to drinks later. Just switch your accessories and you’re good to go. Literally.
White Tank Top with an Open White Button-Down Shirt and Pastel Pink Wide-Leg Trousers

Pastel colors are my favorite for those mornings when you want to look cute but don’t want to spend hours getting ready. Put on your favorite lavender cardigan, a simple white tank top, and pair them with some light pink wide leg pants. Boom! You’re ready.
This look is so adorable and perfect for girl’s day whether you’re brunching or running errands. You’ll look adorable whether you’re enjoying mimosas or shopping at tiny local boutiques. Everything about this outfit is so comfy but still looks put together and thats the best kind of outfit.
Pro-tip: Roll up the sleeves on your cardigan about half way up your arm. It gives the whole look such a nice relaxed vibe like you didn’t try too hard. Keep the jewelry minimal too. A gold pendant necklace will do the trick. You don’t want anything crazy that draws attention away from the soft colors.
If you get chilly, just throw on a cream colored coat on top. All of these colors match each other so well you literally don’t have to stress about it. Pastels are super versatile and you can get so creative. The goal is to look effortlessly stylish without actually putting in effort… am I right?
Pink Embroidered Floral Halter Top with a White Bubble Mini Skirt

This adorable halter top with pink flower details is so sweet and perfect for brunching with your friends this Galentine’s Day. Pair it with a white bubble mini skirt and you’re going to look stunning in all of your pictures AND feel comfortable enough to actually enjoy some mimosas with your girlfriends. The bright colored purse really pulls the whole look together and adds some fun, which is great because Valentines day weather is usually gloomy and sad.
Layer on a cropped cardigan if you’re cold. That way you can still show off that cute halter top. You could even wear nude shoes instead of heels if you’ll be traveling around to multiple spots that day. Trust me your feet will thank you later.
Red Crewneck Top with a White Cable-Knit Cardigan and Distressed Wide-Leg Blue Jeans

Imagine slipping into an outfit that is crazy comfy but looks amazing once your girlfriends lay their eyes on you at brunch. Adding that pop of red works so well whether you’re going downtown to munch on appetizers together or staying in to watch movies.
I see girls grab this outfit when they want to look good but haven’t spent hours on getting ready it. It’s perfect for Valentine’s because you know everyone will be taking Instagram pics.
Slide on a big warm cardigan if the restaurant you’re at is too chilly, and feel free to swap out those big dangly earrings for something smaller if you know you’ll be embracing everyone all morning. BONUS: Majority of these pieces you’ll be able to wear to school or for other occasions later on in the week. They won’t be hanging in your closet unworn after just one time.
White Heart-Print Sweater with a Belted Pink Tulle Midi Skirt

This adorable heart sweater combined with a pink tulle skirt is the perfect mix of playful and classy. Add the belt at your waist to create some more definition so that you don’t look like you came from fairyland.
I love that about this outfit is how easily you can transition from day to night. You could literally go from coffee with your best friends in the morning to night cocktails and not need to change at home. Just swap out your sneakers for ankle boots and add some dainty gold jewelry. Easy peasy.
If you feel too feminine in a full tulle skirt, try pairing a slip under it. Not only will you have more coverage but it’ll tone down the puffiness. I’ve done this before and it works!
You can find similar at Madewell or & Other Stories. They have good quality sweaters so you’ll be able to wear it way past February too. Its rare you find heart prints that aren’t cute!
Pink Cropped Cardigan over a White Cami with Heart-Stencil Denim Jeans

This is probably my favorite outfit combo. A pink cropped cardigan layered over a simple white cami is adorable without trying too hard. Don’t forget to grab those heart jeans you’ve been saving in the back of your closet. They’re perfect for starting conversation and look great but not over the top. Top it all off with some pink shoes to match your cardigan and you’re set. Although, white sneakers are great too if you know you’ll be doing a lot of walking to different cafes.
Quick styling tip: If you want your cardigan to have more of a loose look and less fitted, buy it one size bigger! Trust me I’ve learned this from doing the bottomless mimosas too often and not wanting my outfit to feel squeezed on me.
Red Off-the-Shoulder Bodysuit with a Black Mini Skirt

A red off the shoulder bodysuit is like the perfect balance of flirty without being too much. It’s classy, cute and gives that sexy vibe. Pair that with a simple black mini skirt and you’ve got yourself a winning outfit. The black skirt goes with the whole red & black is sexy trend.
Top it off with knee high boots to keep your legs warm because girl, February is cold! And trust me your legs will thank you later. If you’re self conscience about the skirt being too short (no judgement, I’d wear leggings.) Wear some black tights underneath. You’ll still look cute but won’t feel like you’re showing too much skin.
Something I wish I knew when wearing this kind of top is make sure it has elastic at the shoulders. You don’t want to constantly be fixing your top every five minutes.
White Lace Long-Sleeve Sheath Dress

This simple white lace sheath dress is adorable for a Galentine’s brunch because it looks so fancy but not like you’re over doing it. Its that perfect balance of cute and chill. If your brunch spot is super cute and you’ll be taking lots of photos, I recommend wearing this. The sheath style keeps it from looking too frilly or vintage.
If the restaurant youre at is blasting the air conditioning, pair a colorful cardigan on top. Or some gold jewelry to make the lace detailing stand out even more. Try to find a cotton blend that has some stretch. Trust me when your stuffing your face with brunch foods and sucking down mimosas for hours you’ll appreciate it. No one wants to feel restricted in their dress when there’s an unlimited amount of booze.
BEST PART: This dress can be worn to any brunch spot whether it’s super glam.
